Karlos was recurited to Auburn by then head coach Tommy Tuberville in a setting different than the football field. Tuberville said he first scouted Karlos at a basketball game in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala. “He was a very good basketball player,” Tuberville said. “He was just one of those guys, if he wanted to do it, he could get it done. He always had the athletic ability; you talk about explosion, he could jump out of sight. But the thing that set him apart, was his instincts. You’d put them out there and you didn’t have to coach them a whole lot, because their instincts were right so much of the time.”

TENNESSEE (NOV. 14): On Nov. 14th vs. Tennessee tied for the team lead with eight tackles and had one forced fumble, forcing a Bo Scaife fumble on the Titans’ first possession of the game that was recovered by Chris Clemons ... The Dolphins went on to score a touchdown as a result of that fumble.

AT BALTIMORE (NOV. 7): On Nov. 7th at Baltimore led the Dolphins in tackles with ten stops.
